A Positive Place on the Web
For the Third Angel’s Message

The GreatControversy.org ministry has been online since 1997. The longevity of this ministry has led to its becoming known and appreciated by Seventh-day Adventists all over the world. Inquiries come to us from all over the globe, asking to use, translate, and reprint our articles. Sometimes readers would like for us to help them answer a question on this or that topic. Sometimes they feel discouraged and are ready to leave the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We encourage them to remain. Sometimes they want counsel about how to approach a problem they are having in their church. We try to help. We thought that a sample of some of our recent testimonies and correspondence from the GCO mailbag would help—in the words of these letter writers—those who might be curious about the message and mission of this ministry. It is well to understand the scope and influence of present truth on the internet, and the important place we feel our ministry has in sustaining the message of the Seventh-day Adventist Church on the internet. In some cases you will see discouraged saints, hearts wearied at the challenges of apparent decline. Realize that in each and every case, we sent personal replies to encourage and uplift and urge that God is still at work in this, His remnant church! (Every item is from different people.)

From Northern Ireland:

Dear Pastor, my name is _____ _____, I am Elder at the ______ SDA Church in Northern Ireland… I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Lord and you for your web site of which I would glean most of my sermons to re-preach (if there is such a word)… In our church at the moment we have a young woman from Norway… I mentioned to her about your web site and she said we have a mutual aqaintance, Kenneth Jorgensen, he came to us for a weekend seminar about a year ago and he was great. In a time when _____ keep telling us that a sinless life cannot be achieved, it is refreshing to see some of our leaders are still holding fast to the true message of the Bible and of Adventism… Thank you again for your sermons. They are very special.

From Nepal:

Dear Sir, I just happen to pass by your website. I am just wondering whether you are GC affiliated SDA or one of the independent SDA group. I am from Nepal (Asia). Being the first Seventh Day Adventist from Nepal, I am proud of being a Seventh Day Adventist… Kindly quench my query.

From somewhere in the USA:

We purchased your book Real Grace for Real People. What a blessing it has been confirming our belief and helping us see things clearer than we had seen before!! Truly this is the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!!… Has your book been translated into Spanish?… This book needs to be scattered to the ends of the world. It is the simplest explanation for the book of Romans and ties it all together in a way I have not seen before…Thank you again for putting what the Lord is teaching you on paper. We look forward to printing your sermons every week.

From Lithuania:

I am looking for information as to whether the Sabbath is still binding under the New Covenant. I am a Missionary in Eastern Europe and I have been working with a fellow American who is pastor of the Churches of Christ here.

Another from Oregon:

I just discovered your website and it is a breath of fresh air to me. I as so happy to see that there are still Seventh-day Adventists who recognize the importance of the message Jesus gave us for these times, and the obligation we have to share it with others. Satan is very clever and working hard, especially in our church to replace the simple Gospel of Jesus with a new Psycho-Social Gospel. It sounds and feels so good to so many of our members that they choose to replace the study of the Bible with the study of themselves. The priorities that Jesus has established for our church are being ignored sometimes.… What ever it takes to keep people coming back for more warm fuzzies has become the policy and mission of many churches.… I fear that the Seventh-day Adventist Church may be losing the clear vision we used to have of our main purpose. Your website helps to bring things back into proper focus for me.

From the internet:

Thank you for your ministry. I feel as though God has led me to your site because many of the things you warn about have begun to be preached at my church. I have been very concerned about them for some time and thought maybe I was wrong. I am a young elder in the church and only want to do what glorifies God.… I see clearly that we can lift the standard in love as Christ did, and in doing that, we will all see clearly the path ahead of us.

From Kentucky:

I have been a SDA for almost 10 years now. I believed there was more to the gospel than just justification but every time I tried to somehow fit sanctification into the plan of salvation people would quickly label it legalism. Your explanations with many Scripture and S.O.P. quotes complete the gospel and make sense of God’s plan to save man from sin and glorify Him. I have been sharing this website with others.

From Solomon Islands:

It has just dawned upon me as I am writing that my prayers have been answered, and my mind is at rest. I have been praying about the action I am about to take and nothing happens until this morning when you immediately replied to my mail. I thank God for the way He answered my prayer. And I thank you all at GCO for being such a great influence to my coming back to God and to His Church.

From Oregon:

The GCO site and list have been of great encouragement to my husband and myself. The Lord used GCO to bring us out of the slumber we were in. We look back and can hardly believe how far He has brought us since mid-Oct when I happened upon GCO from a link at another site… Since mid-Oct we’ve given up our music, changed diet and dress. Not because of fear or trying to work our way to heaven, but because when we stopped telling God, “you can change me up to this point, but no further,” He started revealing His will to us more and more.

From an American SDA College:

I just wanted to write to let you all know how encouraged I am to discover the fellowship of believers who actually believe in the SOP and the authority of scripture. I wanted to ask for your support in prayer because I am approaching graduation from an Adventist college with a degree in theology…

From the internet:

God is still working and is using the younger generation to see the truths that He so wonderfully gave to us thirty years ago. Whenever we hear young people preaching like you folks do, who are linked to this site, my heart just wells up with emotion and the tears of gratefulness just pour out that God is not finished with us yet!… It is my Friday night ritual to pull up from the GCO site the posted sermons… The December 4 sermon of Larry’s and David’s sermon of January 8 fit together like a hand in a glove. This indeed is present truth! The article about Prayer Meeting was very timely and the message there that was shared from the Signs of the Times answered a prayer…

From Tennessee:

This is to express my appreciation for your statement of mission. So many of us out here feel like sheep without a shepherd. I intend to tell people with whom we are studying to go to your site to see that there are faithful leaders yet in the SDA structure, doing all they can to uphold the truth God has entrusted to His remnant people.

From the internet:

I want to first express appreciation for the material on the website. I thank God for the articles and sermons, from yourself and the others. Its amazing how God leads His people along. The promise of Jesus in John 7:17 is such a precious one. May God continue to bless your efforts to prove all things. I wanted to know if you had any advice for young men studying theology and religion, who are constantly bombarded with faulty theology.

From Virginia:

I found this website GreatControversy.org while I was looking for Brian Jones… it is wonderful how God leads us. I just wept after I read your personal story … the sermons on this site mean so very much to me because they remind me of my first love of Christ and this message. I attend a church in VA were we have had no evangelism outreach for over three years. We have a part-time pastor who does not believe in talking about the endtime events. He is not a friend of Ellen White even though he went to Andrews University.… he pushes other Christian books like Rick Warren. I have read Rick’s book and though there are good things there, but it is not the truth for this time… I pray for an awaking to the time we are living in.… I am so very thankful to jesus that He does have a people that preach the message straight and true and hold the standards of Christ’ doctrine high. The blessings of the lord be with you.

From United Arab Emirates:

I Read through your interesting website.

Some Correspondence From 2005

From India:

Greetings from _____ at Mumbai, India. I was member of GCOList for over three years and enjoyed your comments… I am a lay member of SDA Church at Mumbai (Bombay), with a concern for church growth in among the rich in the urban India. The Adventist presence in India is centered mostly in rural areas and in few urban slums. Consequently Adventism is seen here as religion of poor and ignorant. With a desire to share our message among urban populace I am developing a web site specially aimed at not Christian religious groups of India and people of Indian origin around the world. This will be the first Adventist site proclaiming the message of our church in India.

From Oklahoma:

I have just finished reading the Spiritual Journey of Ruth Qualls on the Great Controversy website. What a powerful article she has written, one that surely should be considered to be published in booklet form. Thank you, Ruth. You have made my day!!!!!!!!!!!!

From Oklahoma (Different person):

Our little local Friday night Bible study group started into a series on ‘What Is the New Theology?’ this past Friday evening, using Pastor Larry’s articles as study guides. We looked at the different groups within the church (New-modelers, Misguided, Place-holders, etc.), then an overview of the 9 main points of New Theology teaching; then we delved on into point 1, ‘Sin: Is It Choice or Nature?’—i.e. the original sin error vs. the true teaching of Inspiration. It really is amazing how one error can cause so many others to sprout up. A belief in original sin makes it necessary to believe that Jesus had a different human nature from ours… We had a good discussion, the group learned some things (so did I), and all are looking forward to our next study on ‘The Humanity of Christ.’ This is right on time… Forewarned is forearmed.

From Romania:

It was a pleasure to read your material on Great controversy.org. Some friends from the States have given me your web site. My name is ______ and I live in Romania, Europe. Maybe you can remember the Dracula Castle which is much known in the western world. I studied also theology in Germany at our SDA University. At the moment I translate Christian books for our Adventist community. I think your work is great and our church needs help not criticism as so many people do. Leaving the church is not a solution as you said, God calls us to help and to keep the flag of our fundamental beliefs straight in any situation. Your work is great, maybe God has chosen you for times like this. Every person is responsible for his deeds, also people from SDA General Conference but we are responsible every one alone before God as they do. Sorry I did not want to occupy your time, but what makes me write to you is to ask you for permission to translate you books and whatever appears on Greatcontroversy.org.

From Mexico:

Would you grant us permission to translate some of your articles in our magazine? By the way, even though I don't have the book (only the chapters published online) I think you have made an extraordinary work with Real Grace for Real People in explaining the truth about the role of the law and the grace in our Christian experience.

From Papau New Guinea:

As a fellow believer, and a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church I take this opportunity to be in contact with you. In brief, my name is ______ and currently a member to the ______ of Papua New Guinea Seventh-day Adventist Church back here in Papua New Guinea in the city of Port Moresby. As a ordained elder to the church I have been involved in alot of church activities interacting with the students at ______. I was searching through the official Website of ADVENTIST AFFIRM where I got your address from, and eventually come across some of the profound sermons you have prepared. I have down loaded most of the sermons you have posted through the Great Controversy Site, and it was greatly a blessing for my family indeed. In actual fact; I preached one of the listed sermon you prepared and eventually was delivered at the ______ SDA Church.

From New Zealand:

I praise God for your website. We need more of you.

From the internet:

I found your greatcontroversy.org website today and am very happy to find people willing to let the truth shine out in the Adventist world.

From Missouri:

I just want to say ‘Praise the Lord’ for your ministry and courage during these trying and exciting times. The information and inspiration I’ve received from GCO has encouraged me. Thank you and continue to let the Lord lead you.

From Idaho:

I want to again thank you both for the help and direction you have so willingly offered. I hope that some time it will work out to where I could meet you eyeball to eyeball and tell you in person how much I appreciate your ministries. Much of the articles and sermons that have been made available on the Great Controversy.Org and on the list, I have printed and made files on the various subjects.

From Northern California:

You and your confreres are doing marvelously well in keeping the web site filled with relevant material.

From the Internet:

I’d like to tell you what an answer to prayers said and yet unsaid your website has been to my husband _____ and myself. ‘Before they call I will answer. While they are yet speaking I will hear’ Isaiah 65:24. It was quite by ‘accident’ that I stumbled across it from a link at the SDA message board over at ______ on this past Friday evening. We then spent most of that night and Sabbath afternoon reading articles to each other that have opened our eyes and hearts to issues where we have allowed ourselves to be misled. Thank you for allowing God to use you by keeping this site alive.

From Australia:

This website has done more for me in desiring true biblical truth than anything else.

From Oregon:

The blessings my wife and I have received from the GreatControversy.org site are almost too numerous to relate individually. Collectively I will say this though. The issues before our Church are many. Because of the watchfulness of caring members who contribute articles and thoughts, we can all be wiser as per the warning given in 1 Peter 5:8. ‘Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.’ The site is watchful, as opposed to critical, while maintaining support for solid biblical integrity. GreatControversy.org gives a compass heading for our spiritual journey.

From North New South Wales, Australia:

Thanks for a great website that tells what our Adventist message really is!! I’ve been surfing your website for about 3 months now, and have found it really helpful on things like the vegetarian topics and new theology (or newer). I just read, “What is the New Theology,” parts 1-3 and it has helped put many things into perspective!

From Fiji:

I would like to thank you for your ministry. I have been a frequent visitor of your website for the last few years, but your coverage of the latest SDA offshoot has caused me to email you and thank you for the service of informing our people about these things. I am a theology lecturer at ______ College, and although we may not agree about certain issues, I still find many things in your website and ministry that are helpful and needed. For that I am grateful for your time and efforts. Please know that they are not going to waste, at least here in Fiji.

From AOL:

I was pleased recently to come across your site and wanted to take a minute and commend your team for making some fine material available for the membership as a whole.

From Tennessee:

First of all, thank you for your incredibly insightful series on this latest SDA offshoot. It has helped me to renew my commitment to the Adventist faith, in its purest form. As a 26-year-old Adventist, I can attest to the fact that this new movement that is sweeping through not only the SDA church but almost every denomination is very seductive, for lack of a better word... I get the distinct impression that we are always apologizing for our faith, for our position, for our standards. While I don’t think we are actually lagging behind, the appearance is that we are is losing people around my age in droves. There are few people who so boldly and without apology announce what they believe and where they stand, as you did in your articles… I’m not sure what the solutions are, I’m uncertain of my role in the solution, but I will pray that God will direct me as He sees fit. He has already directed me, through what could appear to be a coincidence, to your webpage, and I feel confident that He does indeed have a plan.

From a pastor in Norway:

I’m reading your frank and thought provoking articles from the other side of the globe, and especially your treatment for the Mission Catalyst Network has caught my attention, after a friend pointed me to your site.

From Massachussetts:

Greetings in the name of our Lord Saviour and Redeemer. My name is _____ and I appreciate the work that you brethren are doing at this site. I tell all my fellow church members about it. Keep up the good work.

From Pastor in Florida:

I have been visiting your website for several years now and have been blessed. If it is alright with you, I would like to use some of your material in my church. Let me know if this is alright with you. Take care and God bless.

From California:

I praise God for the work of you and your partners on this website (GreatControversy.org) to bravely stand up against the trend into the worldly ways of worship. I was not aware of this newest development until I got a call from _____ today. Another sign of just what Ellen White predicted would happen in the last days.

From a Pastor in Virginia:

I just browsed through your website and read articles parts 1-5. Great job!

From another pastor in Florida:

Have been enjoying scanning the list and also gc.org. I hope to have a site up soon with present truth on it. I hope that I can put a link to your site on from my site.

From Kentucky:

I have enjoyed reading the articles on the GCO website. Do you have an e-newsletter I can sign up for where I would automatically receive any new updates?

Another from California:

Thank you, and your compadres, for this excellent series of articles to keep those of us out here in the boonies informed. Sometimes we don't know stuff like this is going on, and are surprised when one day it shows up in our church.

From somewhere:

I’ve been to gc.org a lot recently. Thanks for your ‘positive place on the web!’ I need it.

From France:

After reading a few articles on your site, I would like to know if anybody had asked you authorisation to translate some of them into French. There is a great lack of information in French on such important issues. As I’ve been learning how to create a website, we would like to gather these things on a site for French speaking people.

From MSN:

Pastor, I am searching for the truth. I am trying to find the ‘church’ that I left in the late sixties. Most SDA churches seem to be in apostasy. I am learning so much from the historical, remnant, and fellowship SDA churches. I want to be saved. What about the new doctrine’s? …Most of the new members don’t even know what Seventh-day Adventists believe… After 30 years out I thank God for my praying parents, and dear friends. I was re-baptized a couple of months ago, but I don’t know whether or not to stay, or join an independent ministry. Pray for me.

From Ohio:

I heartily appreciate the lesson Brother Qualls shared, and I will repost it on my website…. Keep of the good work brothers. Jesus is coming again!!!

From South Korea:

I am a former student of _____ College and currently serving as a missionary in South Korea. I have recently started a new website featuring Spirit of Prophecy books in MP3 for free download or listening to online. I was wondering if you would be willing to link to my site to help me get started… May God richly bless you and your work as you serve Him!

From Spain:

My name is _____. My actual position, here in _____, is to coordinate the Sabbath Schools for beginners, kindergarten, primary and juniors. I very much enjoyed reading your work about Gracelink on the web page. For this reason, I would like to ask you whether you could provide a copy in spanish, so that I can discuss it with my colleagues in _____.

From Oregon:

I am a Seventh-day Adventist. Can you tell me who _____ is? A friend has heard some controversial things and I am investigating since my friend does not have access to the web. I appreciate your assistance.

From North Carolina:

I appreciate the work that you and your varied staff are doing. I am logging in as frequently as time permits, and receive many blessings…. I liked your column on the name SDA. It is disappearing from many of the churches and institutions… May our Father continue to bless.

From Juno:

Just found your site and thank you to all of you for your work and study on vital subjects.

From Japan:

Konnichiwa Larry-san (good day). I just finished reading “Jesuits and Conservative Adventist Disempowerment” on your site. It was quite good. You wrote: ‘In my own experience with the church, I have seen far too much evidence that the reason problems exist is because the faithful just don’t do anything about them, rather than the comforting illusion that they couldn’t do anything anyhow, because certain supremely powerful forces wouldn’t let them.’ This speaks to me too.… Very often it seems that few truly care if the church goes to the dogs, so it is tempting to just consign them all to the Babylon heap. Or, even if not that far, to despair of them (us) rising up and allowing ourselves to be hewed by the Testimonies. Thank you for the good advice.

From California:

Last Sunday morning my husband _____ popped in a tape from his recent public event in _____ at the _____ historic church. Actually, I did not go to that event at all. I was drawing in the other room but overheard Hughes mention at the beginning of the tape that a Pastor in Mentone wrote a diatribe against The Enemy Unmasked that he (Hughes) had seen on the internet. Interested, I searched for “pastor kirkpatrick mentone” and much to my surprise and interest found the GreatControversy.org site. Sure enough, your thorough document answering the book, its trajectory, and basis, was there. Let’s back up a minute here. I was the woman you mentioned who so zealously handed you The Enemy Unmasked in the first place. Praise the Lord! You read it and answered it!

From New Mexico:

I have been reading carefully from your webpage—Greatcontroversy.org. It is full of good work. A well researched area for SDAs to think further as to the whys and wherefores of apostasy in the Church. This no doubt enhances God’s people to make important decisions as truth advances.

From Zimbabwe:

Thank you for giving ear and for all that the list offers, even for us here in Africa. God bless.

From somewhere:

I just wanted to say that I read your article on Bradford’s book on GreatControversy.org and thought it was great.

From Australia:

Now this is the kind of response to Bradford’s book I have been waiting to see. This review should be sent hundreds of times over to the Record with the insistence that it be published without further comment. I for one will be doing so.

From California:

Hurriedly, KP has done a monumental, incisive review of Bradford’s kiss of death. I am elated and informed at the same time. What would we do without you younger men who are pressing the battle to the gates with great convictions and capabilities!

From Australia:

_____ rang me up this morning to say he was sending me a copy of your critique of Graeme Bradford’s book. I immediately printed it out, read and underlined many statements and then forwarded it on to about fifty of my friends. Some around the world—but most here in Australia.… In closing I must say how much I appreciate or rather ‘we’ (that is the other ‘7000’ here in Australia who have not ‘bowed the knee to Baal’) appreciate the help that we are getting from brethren such as yourself and others around the world.

From California:

Thanks so much for posting the article ‘Dead Languages or Eternal Truth.’ I read the piece in the Review and just about fell out of my chair, thinking to myself, ‘Where are they trying to take this church anyway.’ I am glad to see the rebuttal in print.

From MSN:

Thank God for your open letter on ‘The Passion.’ That is exactly what is needed at this time.

From Malaysia:

Your website is interesting and I hope you can enlighten me by answering the following questions?… Yours in the blessed hope.

From a chaplain in Florida:

It is good to see such a web page. Now I am being well fed. Thank you. I serve as a chaplain with _____ Hospital in _____. This is near _____. I have enjoyed many of your articles.

From Zaire:

I think you have nailed it on the head.

From Tennessee:

I have been pleased to frequently read articles on your greatcontroversy website that affirm long-held Adventist beliefs. In fact, reading various articles on your website has become a Friday evening tradition. Thank you for providing such quality resources and information… May God continue to bless you and your ministry.

From Australia:

I would like to use your sermon entitled, ‘The Trumpet That Shall Never Call Retreat.’ I hope that you will allow me to use it, and I thank you in anticipation.

From America:

I am so glad to have found your website, it is like a breath of fresh air, to a person floundering in a sea of confusion and outright lies. You may not believe in all things as I do but from all I have read on your site I am happy to call you a Brother in Christ… I will send you a donation when I am able. I live only on SS and disability. Please let me hear from you, and may God give you the strength to carry on till He returns is my prayer. Don’t weaken in your faith, or lose sight of the goal that you are reaching and working for; God is there.

From California:

Put me on your mailing list, please. God bless as you stand for our pillars of the SDA faith.

From a Pastor in California:

I just finished reading your book [Real Grace for Real People]… I am impressed that in Adventist thinking there is too little emphasis on the importance of obedience. I used to preach a message like that of Desmond Ford. The results I saw from it were the opposite of what I hoped. Instead of love and obedience coming from an emphasis on righteousness by faith and assurance, people seemed to become careless and presumptuous. I abandoned Ford’s ideas, but I am of the impression that Ford’s theology has become the popular emphasis within our churches. Therefore, we need to do what we can to stem the tide and this is what you seem to be trying to do.… Your discussion of precedence was a new way of thinking for me. The univocality of salvation is clearly presented in those chapters of your book that are devoted to the matter of precedence. Thank you for sharing them with us.

From China:

Greetings from Hangzhou!… I am very thankful for your encouragement and gift of books.… Thank you for your ministry.

From Auckland, New Zealand:

I have heard of GYC from your web site. I hope there is some way something like that may come here one day. I have just finished reading your article on QOD. I found it very interesting as it filled in many gaps in my knowledge of this event in Adventism.

From Norway:

Thank you very much for your evaluation of the book QOD. In Norway we have not yet received this book, but In the Norwegian church magazine, they write that George R. Knight from Andrews University has added some words in that book, that should clarify the topic about the nature of Christ and the Sanctuary problem. I think you have read what he has written. Is this according to the Bible and Ellen G. White’s writing about this topic?

From a pastor somewhere:

This Sabbath morning I received a call from a fellow pastor who told me of your website. I want to thank you for your efforts to uphold the Seventh-day Adventist Message (true message). I want you to know there are strong conservative pastors still out here and we love the truth. We appreciate what you are doing. I have to leave for church now, but I will return to your site and read everything. What a disgrace to the cause of God to hear about QOD being republished.

From Austria:

Thank you very much for your articles concerning _____, he was in Austria making presentations of the history of SDA. I am praying that we may experience revival here in Austria. Now and then I am visiting your homepage and enjoy the presentations. May God continue to bless you.

From a pastor in Nevada:

Not long after I spoke with you, I opened my mail and found a letter from one official confirming your words to me about what has happened with the church planting movement. If there is one thing that I am hoping for in all this, is that it will not be an opportunity missed by leadership.… If leaders should fail to deal with the real issues, history shows us that the laity will rise up and will do what responsible people lacked courage to do.

Some Correspondence From 2006

From Singapore:

I thank God for the ministry of GCO. I look forward to reading the messages every day. I am a Christian writing from Singapore. I attend a Seventh-day Adventist church, but I am currently not a member. By God’s grace, reading GCO has restored my faith in Ellen White’s writings. GCO information is also very helpful as I study and consider baptism.

From Cincinnati:

I stumbled upon GCO while surfing the net and you have proven to be a real blessing at a time when one who tries to follow God’s truth and hold to the standards might become discouraged.... My real reason for this communication is that on Friday, August 4, I received a booklet urging me to begin observing the feasts [Unleavened bread, Tabernacles & etc]. I instinctively sensed the error but needed confirmation from a spiritually strong, biblical basis. Today I accessed GCO and there was the perfect rebuttal in the concise but very biblical and kindly worded article by Pastor Priebe. Heartfelt thanks to you for providing this site, and thanks to Pastor Priebe for upholding truth and providing clear, well founded, refutation of error.

From the internet:

I just read your article about “Jewelry” and I praise God for it. The explanation regarding “Grace” was very clear and easy to understand.

From India:

Greetings! Thank you for your online GC. I am Indian, 43, ex-RC, baptised SDA in July 1999. Working as a colporteur. Our Indian SDA press here has not printed GC for last 25 years. Going to work without SOP books is like a carpenter going to work without a saw. Therefore India is yet uncut. Can you send some books?... May God bless and multiply your ministry is my prayer in Jesus name ! Thanking You, Yours in the faith.

From Nigeria:

Brother Larry, I want to bless God Almighty for giving you the knowdge and wisdom in presenting and exposing the evil plans and the works of the devil in this great publication. Though I could not read the book completely,Ębecause my pastor, after glancing through the book decided to take it... please if the book is still avaiable can a copy be sent to me in order that I continue reading it.

From Finland:

Thanks for your informative article “Is the SDA church a Mainstream Protestant Church ? No.” It is interesting to know more about your movement or church. Have you many local churches ? Anyway, I believe you belong to the faithful in this dark time of ecumenism, etc.

From South Africa:

Hi, I’d like to thank you for the media and the sermons that have been published. I’ve been awakened.

From the Internet:

Sir: I read your piece on how to “witness” to Mormons and, I must say, it is tactically the fairest and most reasonable approach I have read, in contrast to the many hateful, uncharitable, and, frankly, unchristian views written about the Mormons.

From Zimbabwe:

Dear brethren, I am a young and zealous Adventist. I joined the Adventist Church Late in 2004 and was baptised. I have head about E. G. White’s books has been given just one or two by friends to read. I have found the books very helpul and I wish I could also get copies of my own to read and share. Have heared something about The shaking, Creeping Compromise in the church and I also wish I could get Books onĘthese issues. I have been reading a number of your sermons from the website Greatcontroversy.org and have received overwhelming information but I just wondared if you do not have some books that you have written yourself that you could send me if you can. I live in Zimbabwe and any books (spiritual) are beyond the reach of poor people like me with our current inflation paging at 1500% and raging poverty.

From the internet:

Just a note to say that I just found your website this morning and was very pleased with the sermons. They go quite well with this quarter’s lessons, so I’m particularly glad I found it. I was looking for more information on why the 70th week of Daniel nine was shoved off into the future when there was nothing in that week per-say that hurt the Roman church. Your sermon cleared that up for me. Thank you so much for your work and the fact that you published them on line for all to read. May God richly bless you in your work above all that you could ask or think.

From the Internet:

I would love to have an audience with Jesus and I would ask Him what He really thinks of the likes of you and Des Ford. I believe I know what the answer will be. I think He will tell me that He saw your names in the so-called pre-advent judgment and He could not understand why it such names were written in black when they should be in white. He left the room to check why but you know something, my loving Saviour never returned.

From Kenya

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I write to you this over your several inspiring sermons I have been reading over the internet. I have been sharing this messages with friends most of whom have joined our newly organized Adventist church. Your messages have been of great help to me in most of the sermons I have as well been presenting... It is my wish that God willing you will one time come to visit us here in Kenya, and especially being our Guest in our campaign.

From the Internet:

The sermon I found particularly helpful was one you did in 2000. The name of it was, “Collision With Prophecy #12: The Final Lie.” In that sermon, you went into Futurism and Preterism and how it is affecting protestantism today. That&rdsquo;s just what I was looking for when I just happened upon your website. I only read that one and the first of that series called, “Arrival,” I think. But I did put your site on my favorites, so I can go back anytime and read more whenever I like. It’s great to have this on the net. I know there are thousands of sermons on the internet, but I like the “urgency appeal” of yours. So many of us are sleeping and need to be awakened out of our stupor. I just can’t thank the Lord enough that there are those who are sounding the alarm out there. As I was going over you site, I noticed that there were many years of sermons to choose from. You can bet that I’ll be back, and I’ll probably copy some and share them around with our church family. We do witness to those outside our faith, but it’s the church that is in such danger right now. It’s hard to imagine that you wrote those words in 2000 and here it is 2006 and we are still here! I don’t know if I’ll ever get to all your sermons, but I’m sure I’ll get to a great many of them, and tell others of your website. I really do get excited when I find something like this.

From Republic of Panama:

In this moment, I’m downloading your articles: QOD Attempt with Original Sin Doctrine, QOD Minor Aberration, or Manifesto of the New Theology, Questions on Doctrine Republished, Walter Martin’s Trump Card Questions on Doctrine, Seventh-day Adventists, and the Atonement. Do you have some more info.... And do you have documents in Spanish? God bless you.

From Hong Kong:

Dear Pr. Kevin D. Paulson, Thank you for the article “Saved While Sinning?” The problem in Hong Kong is pastors and members didn’t teach and learn salvation in the whole package, so it is easy to accept the article like “Can I know I’m Saved?” without critic or any comment. I often visit GCO website, I think Pr. Larry Kirkpatrick and you do a very good work, always deal problem on time.

From Australia:

Hi, How can we in Australia get hold of your books? I know that GC.Org is on the correct track theologically and I wish that there were more people around who are prepared to stand for truth. If we have to send a cheque to America, please include freight in any price that you can give. The two books I want to purchase are Real Grace for Real People and the other one advertised Cleanse and Close.

From Australia:

Hello Sir: I have recently met some Mormon missionaries in the streets of my city and they have talked to me about their faith. I told them that I am a Seventh-day Adventist and that I do not believe in the book of Mormon. But I am very curious by nature, and the second time I met them, I asked them for a copy of this book. They are giving me the book and dropping by for a chat with me soon. So, I am getting ready for that meeting and the first thing I have done is to check your website for documents about Mormonism.

From the Internet:

Hi, My name is ______ ______ and I found your address online discussing SDAs and Mormons. I am an SDA and an SDA friend of mine told me on Friday that she decided to become a Mormon and she was baptized on Saturday evening. I have been reading everything I can right now to try to understand this and I know that the social life was a strong pull for her. I would like to know if there are any books that you would recommend or websites that would be helpful for me. I don’t want to say or do anything that may jeopardize our friendship and ultimately I want her to see the truth!

From the Internet:

Hi, I am an SDA who has a very deep and sincere interest in sharing faith and building positive relations with my LDS loved ones. This website has been most helpful to me. I appreciate the work that you are doing very much. It has been very disheartening and frustrating at times to relate to my LDS loved ones. Although we share much in common, some of the differences (The State of the Dead for instance) Are like big gulfs dividing us and causing contention. Like your website said, we are ‘in different rooms.’ Your website has helped me substantially in finding ways to “Bridge the Gulf,” and to relate better to my loved ones. Have a wonderful day! And God Bless You!

From the internet:

Dear Pastor Kirkpatrick, I remember meeting you in Ann Arbor at GYC and hearing you say that the best way to reach LDS is through the Sabbath. I have become friends with a woman who was raised SDA but converted to LDS as her fiance converted from Baptist to LDS. That was about 20 years ago. They have 3 teen age boys. She shared with me that when they were studying they invited someone from the SDA church and someone from the LDS church to study with them and that she could see that the SDA’s did not have good answers. When it hit her, she went to the bathroom and just cried. But then she joined the LDS church. She thinks I would make a good Mormon. I told her I was interested in why she felt the answers were so poor. She has invited us over to talk about it. Where can I get more information as background? Thank you for any help you can give. [We have a whole website on this: IASM.info, LK]

From the Internet:

Dear Pastor Kirkpatrick, I have just finished your 4 part series on “Victory in the Thought Life.” I would like to present this topic in Sabbath School and an afternoon meeting using your notes (giving you full credit for the material, of course). Time is too short for our people to be ignorant of how to overcome in their thoughts, especially when we realize that the battle for our souls is first a “battle for the mind.” Thank you so much for putting down into a simple format the principles that I have already been employing in my own life. I have wanted to present this topic before but could not find a simple format to do so. The Lord has been gracious to you in helping you to present it in an easy to understand and employ format. Most sincerely, A fellow soldier.

From Kenya:

Dear Pastor Larry... This year I was for the first time appointed in my local Church ________ as an elder. I am working very hard with other elders and church members to achieve growth in more souls to Christ. Please remember me in your prayers. Everything here in Kenya is fine after the rains and now we have a surety that there will be enough food. I have been studying SOP seriously to counter the extreme views by the enemies of our Church in this region... God Bless You.

From a student at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary in Michigan:

Hi there!... I’m a student in the Seminary at Andrews and graduating soon. After that I’ll pastor in the __________ Conference. I want to develop a website... My vision for the website is for it to be a place on the web where Adventists can come and find solid answers to the criticisms made against Adventist beliefs. I am an adult convert to the message and have read just about all the criticism to our beliefs that exists and have amassed many helpful arguments (and also read a lot of adventist apologetic material in books) that I feel needs to be published more freely on the web... I would really appreciate your advice on this. Thanks and God bless.

From Romania:

Dear brothers, I have visit your web site and I have see some good books. I can’t pay for it, therefore I ask if you can send me the next books free of charge: 1. Opportunity of the Century, by Herbert E. Douglass. 2. 1973-1974 Annual Council Appeals, by General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. 3. Real Grace for Real People, by Larry Kirkpatrick. 4. Cleanse and Close: Last Generation Theology in 14 Points, by Larry Kirkpatrick. Thanks in advance and God bless you.

From the internet:

First off, I came across your site after performing some searches on the end times. I am very impressed with the knowledge that you have. I am still confused on one issue, I attend church on Sundays, is this wrong? Will it be wrong in the future? Will I be accepting the “mark” if I continue to go to church on Sunday, if a law in put into place? Should church be on a Saturday? Or simply, I should recognize the Sabbath as Saturday? As you can tell, I am confused. Also, where does the “mark” (forehead or right hand) physically fall into place? I appreciate your time and a response if possible. This is really important for me to digest. GCO
