Picture tour of the Price-Moab-Castle Valley DistrictPrice to Green River
Here we are at our starting point, the Price Seventh-day Adventist Church, just two miles South of Price Utah on Highway 10.
I pulled off the road here to snap this picture of the cliffs lining this portion of the journey from Price to Green River (about an hour driving, depending on how creative you are with speed). Last year 39 traffic fatalities occurred on this road (Utah Highway 6).
Zooming down the road, here we are coming up on the same formation as in the previous picture. Stark, but in grandeur. Green River to Moab
I-70 stretches out some 25 miles between Green River and Crescent Junction—the cut-off for Moab.
My car window is open. No Air Conditioning.
Here we are in Moab, Utah; a thoroughly tourist-oriented town. Bicycle enthusiasts, jeeps, and other 4x4's line the streets.
Here's the new Moab Church building. When we sold the old church, the Baptists wanted the bell, but we kept it. Hard to see in this picture, but there are three angel's gliding from right to left in the shade on the sanctuary.
Now from the back side of the building, we see the Moab church nestled beneath the towering west rim of the canyon. Moab to Castle Valley
This is in the Colorado River Canyon North of the Grand Canyon. Awesome, eh?
We have arrived at Castle Valley Church / Daystar Academy. Check out Castle Rock in the background. Leaving Castle Valley moving Back to Moab""
This is an awesome shot. Makes you want to stay. Well, I will throw some more pics on here later on. But here is a start. Hope you enjoyed the trip. Perhaps you can come and see it in undigitized form, with your own eyes. And give praise to God for His mighty works. |
