Special Announcement:
New Book Goes to Press!

We are pleased to be able to report that our new book Real Grace for Real People was transmitted to the printing press on Tuesday, June 17, 2003. We previously had shared the motivation and strategy of the project (see Book Project Unveiled). The next events will be (1) the press sets up and runs a proof of the book cover, which is shipped to the publisher via overnight mail, approved and then physically shipped back. (2) The press then sets up its presses based upon that proof, accomplishes everything necessary to make sure it all comes out properly on the press, then (3) they are printed, shrink-wrapped and boxed and finally (4) shipped to the publisher. We may not hear much from this point until the finished physical product arrives in our hands by mid-July. The book has a beautiful cover and we are very pleased with how it appears it will turn out. It will sell for $12.95 a copy and it will be available through sources including your Adventist Book Center (it may be best to ask about it at your ABC closer to the ship date), (Orion Publishing), and direct from us here at GreatControversy.org. However, until we have it back and know our shipping costs we will not be able to determine details. We are still praying that the last stages of the project will progress smoothly.

Pastor Larry Kirkpatrick is an ordained minister of the gospel. Since 1994 he has served in the American Southwest as pastor to several churches. He received his BA in Religion from Southern Adventist University in 1994 and a Master of Divinity from Andrews University in 1999 with a specialization in Adventist Studies. While in Michigan he was employed by the General Conference at the White Estate Berrien Springs branch office. More important than his scholastic preparation has been his immersion in the biblical and Spirit of Prophecy materials. He is author of the 2003 book Real Grace for Real People. Presently he serves as Pastor of the Mentone Church of Seventh-day Adventists, located near Loma Linda, California. Larry is married to Pamela. The couple presently live in Highland, California along with their two children, Etienne and Melinda.
